Business Objectives

With nearly half a million Australians living with some form of dementia, the ability to provide care that is sensitive and appropriate to those living with the condition is an essential skill for all care workers. Learners will build their knowledge of the behavioural and cognitive symptoms of dementia as well as how to adapt the care they provide to be more appropriate and respectful of dementia sufferers and their families. Dementia aligns to Standard 3 of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
