Millennials: Engage them with a Meaningful Purpose

Seven Dimensions
Updated Oct 11, 2019

Course Overview

Eve Ash and Peter Quarry note that while millennials are less loyal to employers, a Gallup Poll has found that they are 65% less likely to leave if they are engaged, working in jobs that promote strong social values and which enables them to ask questions and feel their work is connected to a broader purpose.  Managers need to recognize millennials’ desire to make a difference and to continually develop professionally.

Peter Quarry explains that while millennials might be impatient, it’s because they seek work that matters, that promotes strong social values and gives them a sense of purpose and connectivity.
