Learners on the dyslexia spectrum typically comprehend at an ability appropriate level, despite well- documented issues around decoding. This webinar harnesses current research to present inclusive strategies which empower our slow decoding, quick comprehenders to present ability appropriate evidence of
understanding in a variety of forms. Techniques will be modelled for developing higher order thinking skills via Bloom and SOLO taxonomies and also to encourage “off the lines/beyond the lines” thinking. Although the focus will be on learners at KS2+3, the strategies are easily levelled up and down for younger and older learners.
