Course Overview

Thermodynamics is the part of science that deals with changes in temperature and lays out the relationships between heat and work. It plays a vital role directly or indirectly in our daily lives. In a thermal power plant, for example, a steam driven engine rotates the steam turbine to drive an electrical generator and ultimately create the power we use for all our appliances. This module includes the fundamental concepts regarding energy, flow of heat or cooling properties, and also includes the “work done” concept.
