Relationships at Work

Seven Dimensions
Updated Apr 16, 2020

Research shows when people have strong, positive relationships at work, their wellbeing increases. Kylie Bell shares that one way of cultivating closeness is by putting values, such as Respect for example in action.

Kylie Bell discusses with Eve Ash research demonstrating that when people have strong, positive relationships (“R” in PERMA) at work, their wellbeing and performance increases accordingly. For those who are not getting on, Kylie recommends putting values in action. This might involve listening to another person in a meeting until they’ve finished. Teams can articulate their preferred values and behavior descriptions, practice them and cultivate trust through growing closer.

This program is one of the Insights and Strategies Series, featuring psychologist Eve Ash interviewing a range of experts and business leaders who share their experiences and practical strategies for achieving best practice.
