Motivation theories are useful for understanding why employees behave unethically. People will demonstrate increased unethical behaviors if those behaviors are followed by rewards or go unpunished. The course also touches on how some of the motivation theories are likely to be culture-bound, whereas others may more readily apply to other cultures.
