Microservice architecture and development are gaining momentum in enterprises. While microservices are more modular to develop and may look simpler, there are also a lot of complexities in creating these distributed systems.
In this course you learn about the tools and techniques that are necessary to successfully develop, deploy, manage, and monitor microservice-based applications. We develop a basic distributed reactive microservice system using . NET Core and Apache Kafka to send messages across microservices. We learn about using patterns such as CQRS to manage complexities in distributed systems. You'll also learn to containerize these services and use Kubernetes to manage the deployment, scaling, and updating of these services. By the end of the course, you'll be confident in implementing Kubernetes tools and resources to effectively deploy and manage microservices.
Target Audience
This course is for . NET Core developers and solution architects who want to learn and understand the microservice architecture and implement it in their . NET Core applications. Some experience developing large scale applications and a knowledge of . NET Core and C# are mandatory.
Business Outcomes
Tackle distributed transactions by designing around them with techniques such as CQRS and embracing eventual consistency
Explore the . NET Core implementation of patterns and solutions to build microservices
Build microservices based on reactive principles like scalability, resilience, responsiveness and embrace asynchronous message-based communication
Explore Kubernetes to simplify container management by complete automation of applications and service deployment, scaling, monitoring and rollback to create a self-healing infrastructure
