Flexible Work Arrangements are one of the 10 National Employment Standards (NES). Some employees can request flexible work arrangements from their employer.
This module will cover the categories of employees that can make these requests, and the employer's responsibility to meet these requests.
- identify which employees can ask their employer for flexible work arrangements;
- identify circumstances which allow employees to request flexible working arrangements;
- understand the requirements for making, approving and refusing a request;
- understand what are reasonable grounds for refusing a request;
- understand ways to manage requests for flexible working arrangements.
