Fire Prevention - Introduction

In the event of a fire in the workplace, identifying it at an early start stage can minimize its devastating effects. A key factor in the execution of a fire evacuation procedure is knowing what to do and when to do it.

• You will learn more about the elements of the fire triangle, the devastating effects of fire and some of the ways fire can spread to other areas.
• You will also look at the methods of fire detection, some of the equipment used in fire detection and the responsibility of maintaining fire detection methods and equipment.
