Course Overview

This course – also available as part of our Children’s Workforce Induction bundle – will equip you with the skills you need to understand the two key information gathering stages of the foster care process.

In this child in need assessment course you’ll learn about the differences between Stage 1 and Stage 2 and gain a solid foundation of understanding around the process. You’ll learn how basic information is gathered at Stage 1 and then built upon with more detailed information at Stage 2.

You’ll also learn about the importance of the assessment process and fostering process to the welfare of a young person/young people.

On completion, you’ll get a course certificate, complete with your name, CPD hours, the date and learning objectives. This course also contains additional resource materials, useful links and a refresher guide.
