This Substance Misuse course shows you how drugs work on the human mind, describing many different types of addictive substances, from alcohol and new psychoactive substances, right up to Class A drugs.
We explore how their use affects people and their families, how to recognise addiction, and and how substance abusers can be helped to recover.
In this course you will learn:

- The categories that different substances fall into, and what the law is on possession and supply in relation to drugs
- The ways in which drugs are taken and how they affect the human body and mind
