This 4 hour interactive course discusses hepatitis C classification structure epidemiology models of care and provides a synopsis of available treatments and their modes of action. It is based on current treatments and guidelines.

Participants will learn the basic structure of hepatitis C RNA and the effects direct acting antivirals have on the hepatitis C virus protein synthesis pathway. They will know the medicines listed by the TGA side effects and contraindications. The course teaches pre-treatment assessment and management including monitoring and post treatment follow-up care.
