Welcome to the "Ethics for Employees" video series. This video lesson, "Ethical Violations 101," is the sixth video lesson in a series of six, and it discusses what to do when an ethics situation arises. Although most people understand ethics and the role it plays in a company’s vision and practices, employees sometimes have a difficult time figuring out what to do when facing an ethics problem. This video lesson will teach learners how to recognize common unethical workplace practices, from misuse of company time to harassment and abusive behavior. It will also help learners determine how to respond to ethics issues, depending on the company policy and the particular situation. In the end, viewers will understand that the frequency and severity of unethical behavior matters, that retaliation is not permitted when someone reports unethical behavior, and that it is important to stay out of the gray area and well within the ethics zone. Remember, ethical behavior begins with you! Please note that the first six video lessons in the "Ethics" series are designed for all employee levels. The final video lesson is designed specifically for all levels of management.
