Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are open-ended investment vehicles trade in the same way as traditional stocks and invest in diversified portfolios of securities (that typically track an index). ETFs are similar to mutual funds, but there are key differences. Here we look at the way in which ETFs are traded and the way they differ from mutual funds.
