These lapses—or, in some cases, outright criminal acts—have provoked reactions from the public and the government. New laws and regulations have been adopted, and some companies have completely disappeared, due to their unethical or illegal behavior. This course examines the origins of ethical behavior, the justification for positive business ethics, and how individuals' actions affect the ethical behavior of businesses.
