This second of a three part series on bipolar disorder, provides comprehensive learning on the nursing management of a person with bipolar disorder. It includes training on the effective management of acute episodes and ongoing relapse prevention. Participants will learn about individualised long-term management plans include prophylactic medication, psychosocial therapies, risk management, and careful monitoring for treatment-related complications. It introduces participants to the medications used to treat bipolar disorder.
