Course Overview

In a chemical plant, it is imperative to monitor the fluid levels in the tanks and vessels because they supply the reaction material; and hold the finished product and their intermediates. The consequences of wastage and damage can be dire should levels go unmonitored. The efficient functioning of an industrial plant will involve, at some point in the process, the careful control and measurement of four parameters: temperature, level, flow and pressure. This module explains the underlying physical principles of these parameters and how the principles can be exploited to keep plants functioning at their safest and optimum best.

Target Audience
