Welcome to the “Federal and International Competition Law” video lesson intended to explain why antitrust laws were established, what they mean for organizations, and how they’re enforced locally and internationally. This lesson is the first of three in the “Antitrust Law” video course, which teaches you all about the laws in place to protect consumers and promote competition in the marketplace. Starting with the Sherman Antitrust Act, the U.S. has enacted legislation to minimize anticompetitive behavior in the marketplace. From this lesson, you’ll learn about what constitutes a violation based on the Sherman Antitrust Act, along with other competition laws, and how you could be penalized.
