You've probably heard the saying, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Unfortunately, this is an attitude that prevails at many workplaces: older employees are often undervalued. The Age Discrimination in Employment Act, or ADEA, makes it illegal to discriminate against any person who is 40 years or older because of his or her age. Any workplace with more than 20 employees must be ADEA-compliant. In this course, we'll discuss what exactly is covered under the law, from job ads to benefits to retirement.
